Apollo Education Group will be Acquired by a Group of Private Investors

On Monday, Apollo Education Group, the owner of University of Phoenix agreed to be bought by a group of investors for $1.1 billion. The university and its owner were facing troubles and were going through a series of federal as well as state investigations allegedly for shady recruiting practices, misleading advertising and problematic financial aid practices.
